Day 5

Cape Town - Livingstone

Today, you will bid farewell to Cape Town. You will be transferred to the airport in time for your flight to Livingstone, Zambia (approximately three hours). Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your lodge. Livingstone lies on the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Named after Dr David Livingstone, the first reported European to sight the Falls, Livingstone is a hive of activity and a great place to organise your Victoria Falls adventure.

Days 6-8

Livingstone, Victoria Falls, Chobe

Also known by its indigenous name, Mosi-oa-Tunya 'the smoke that thunders', Victoria Falls is the largest waterfall in the world with a width of 1.25 miles. A visit to the Falls on both the Zambian and Zimbabwe side is a highlight of anyone's safari in Southern Africa. Brave yourself on the second highest bungee jump in the world, enjoy a champagne breakfast on Livingstone Island, right in the centre of the Falls, enjoy a cruise down the river or even go by kayak or canoe. Scenic flights are popular, and you can try your hand at white water rafting, river-boarding, skydiving and fishing. It is also well worth arranging a day trip into Botswana for a boat trip on the Chobe River where you can glide past gigantic crocodiles, fish eagles, monitor lizards and elephants drinking.

Days 11-13

Mara North

Enjoy your days exploring this wonderful part of the Mara North Conservancy on shared game drives with your professional guide. The Mara North Conservancy is one of the most densely populated wildlife areas within the Masai Mara ecosystem and includes sites such as the world famous "Leopard Gorge". Throughout the year, great numbers of herbivores such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, Thomson's gazelles and impalas search the area for water and grazing; and the big cat predators are never far away! Hippos and crocodiles can also be found lazing in the waters of the Mara River. Set off on early morning game drives, afternoon game drives, or full day game drives in custom-built 4x4s for the ultimate wildlife experience. As you are staying in one of the conservancies and not bound by the stricter rules of the Masai Mara National Park, it is possible to join guided game walks to experience the magnitude of the Mara savannah on foot and, as dusk closes in, join a thrilling night drive.

Day 14

Mara North - Nairobi

This morning, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi, where you can have dinner before continuing onto your international flight home.
