On your arrival into Windhoek/Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek, you will be met a NWS representative who will transfer you to Windhoek, where you spend your first night at Am Weinberg Boutique hotel. Once at the hotel, the NWS representative will go over your itinerary with you and answer any questions you may have. Your rental vehicle will be delivered to your guesthouse at a pre-arranged time. Overnight at Am Weinberg Boutique Hotel. Dinner tonight is at your own arrangement, you can go out to a nearby popular restaurant or eat-in at the guesthouse (at your own cost).
Your self-drive journeys takes you northward to Okonjima, located at the base of the Omboroko Mountains near Waterberg. Okonjima is home to the AfriCat Foundation, a wildlife sanctuary which focuses on the research and rehabilitation of Africa's wildlife. You have the day at leisure and can join the shared scheduled lodge activities, such as the afternoon game drive on the Okonjima Private Nature Reserve. Overnight at Okonjima Bush Suite for two nights. All meals, scheduled camp activities and most local drinks included (excluding premium or imported brands).
Today you can enjoy a morning activity as offered by the lodge, returning to the lodge for brunch. Whilst staying at Okonjima you have the opportunity to track leopards with the help of radio tracking devices and your experienced guides. This exciting experience offers clients the opportunity to become part of a 28-year study of the species, which aims to provide a sustainable future for leopard populations in Namibia. You can also enjoy game drives within the 20,000ha reserve, keeping your eyes peeled for rare species. After your day of wildlife encounters, relax back at the camp with a cocktail in hand by the swimming pool or sitting round the campfire. Self-drive from Okonjima to Ongava Private Game Reserve, located on the southern boundary of Etosha National Park. You have the day at leisure, and this afternoon you can enjoy a shared guided game drive on the Ongava Game Reserve with the lodge. Overnight at Little Ongava for two nights. All meals, scheduled camp activities (morning Etosha guided game drive and afternoon Ongava Reserve guided game drive) and most local drinks included (excluding premium or imported brands).
You have a full day available for game viewing today, starting with a shared guided morning Etosha game drive with the lodge, returning to the lodge at midday for a late lunch and afternoon siesta. Later this afternoon you can join the lodge for their afternoon shared guided Reserve game drive. All meals, scheduled camp activities (morning Etosha guided game drive and afternoon Ongava Reserve guided game drive), most local drinks included (excluding premium or imported brands).
Self-drive in a southern direction to Epako Safari Lodge, located near Omaruru, amongst the Erongo Mountains. You have the day at leisure and can join shared scheduled lodge activities. Overnight at Epako Safari Lodge. All meals, two scheduled lodge activities per day (morning guided game drive/ afternoon guided game drive/ walking safaris/ Bushman rock art (engravings and paintings)/ Rhino tracking) and most local drinks included (excluding premium or imported brands).
Today you drive back to Windhoek/ Hosea Kutako International airport. A NWS representative will meet you at the airport and assist with returning your rental vehicle and checking in for your departing international flight.
