Day by day

Day 1


On arrival into Antananarivo airport you will be met and welcomed to Madagascar by your personal driver and guide who will show you to your private vehicle. You will then transfer to your hotel to relax after your flight.

Overnight: Pavillon de L'Emyrne

Day 2

Antananarivo - Ile Sainte Marie

You will fly from Tana to Ile Sainte Marie and Princesse Bora Lodge. This is a fantastic location for some beach relaxation and exploration. Located in a palm grove along a white sandy beach this is the perfect place to relax and reminisce after the excitement of your wedding!

Days 3-4

Ile Sainte Marie

Relax for the next few days in this idyllic setting. A variety of activities are possible including diving (PADI lessons are available), snorkelling and simply relaxing by the pool. A highlight of your stay here is the opportunity to go whale watching; during the months of June – September hundreds of humpback whales come to this area for breeding. Up to 15m in length this is a spectacular opportunity to experiences these mammals up close and personal as you visit them with the research team and help them to collect vital research data.

Day 5

Ile Sainte Marie - Antananarivo

Today you have a return flight to Tana where you will be met by your driver and private vehicle and transfer to your hotel. A chance to relax upon arrival or alternatively explore the atmospheric city of Tana and enjoy a romantic meal while you’re here.

Day 6

Antananarivo - Andasibe

This morning you travel east to the beautiful reserve of Andasibe. Depending on your time of arrival you can explore the park or alternatively relax back at the lodge. In the evening a chance to go on a night walk to see what nocturnal fauna and flora you can spot!

Days 7-9

Andasibe National Park

Enjoy exploring Andasibe/Perinet National Park with your local wildlife guide. A montane forest park offering the chance to spot a variety of lemurs, reptiles and birds. One of its most famous inhabitants is the Indri; this is the largest of all lemurs with a teddy bear like appearance. You hear the Indri before you see them and it is best to leave early morning to be near the Indri when they make their distinctive morning group communication calls. Other lemurs which can be seen here are the red-bellied lemur, brown lemur, lesser bamboo lemur, with nocturnal lemurs - brown mouse lemur, greater dwarf lemur, Eastern woolly lemur, sportive lemur, aye-aye.

Day 10

Andasibe - Antananarivo

A relaxing morning and maybe a last chance to explore Andasibe prior to a leisurely drive back to Tana in time for your onward flight in the morning.

Day 11

Antananarivo - Anjajavy

In the morning transfer to the airport for the private flight to Anjajavy resort. This unique hotel cannot be accessed by road so you are flown directly to the private airstrip. Located approximately 120km north of Majunga and on the Mozambique Channel.

Day 12

Anjajavy Reserve

The next couple of days are at your disposal to relax and explore this unique area. Optional excursions include: water skiing, snorkelling, windsurfing, catamarans, fishing, boat excursions, visits to the local villages and a variety of walks to admire the local fauna and flora (chameleons, Sifaka lemur (Verreaux's propithecus), the bird of paradise and Cuvier's oplure (a type of iguana) and the fish eagle). The hotel also has a freshwater pool, a boutique and benefits from some excellent cuisine which is a mix of both western and Malagasy flavours.

Day 13

Anjajavy - Antananarivo

A relaxing morning prior to your flight back to Tana, where you will be met upon arrival and transferred to the airport in time for your onward flight.
