Day 1

Arrive Nairobi – Giraffe Manor

Upon arrival into Nairobi Airport you will be met for your private transfer to Giraffe Manor. You will be warmly welcomed on arrival and settle into your room. The iconic Giraffe Manor is the only place in the world where you can share your breakfast with one of these cheeky creatures. Photograph them up close as they feed from the window sills and interact with guests.

Day 2

Giraffe Manor

During your stay you can stroll across the lawn to the AFEW Giraffe Centre to learn about the endangered Rothschild Giraffe or take a guided walk around the sanctuary. From Giraffe Manor, sightseeing vehicles can take you to the nearby Karen Blixen Museum and the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

Day 3

Giraffe Manor - Angama Mara

This morning after your final giraffe breakfast you will be transferred the short distance to Wilson Airport for the Safarilink flight to Angama Mara airstrip (10:00/11:00). On arrival you will be met and transferred to camp where you will settle in ready for your unforgettable stay. Known as Africa’s greatest wildlife reserve, the reputation of the Masai Mara goes way beyond being simply a wildlife park. This is a worldwide stage where the brutal and unfettered reality of nature is played out in the greatest wildlife show on earth. Situated on the north-west tip of the Mara Triangle, the stunning Angama Mara perches on the rim of Africa’s Great Rift Valley, offering impressive views over the Masai Mara Reserve. Each glorious glass fronted tented suite appears to be suspended in mid-air. Owner-managed by renowned safari industry leaders Steve & Nicky Fitzgerald, Angama Mara offers a contemporary safari experience. Days 4-6

Angama Mara experience

Wake up to hot-air balloons sailing past and enjoy 180 degree views of the game rich Mara below. At Angama Mara there is a huge focus not just on spotting wildlife but deeply experiencing your stunning surroundings. First and foremost, the guides are storytellers, and interpret the Mara in a way that immerses guests in the natural world: a safari at Angama Mara is about an overwhelming sense of place. The Masai Mara’s fertile rolling grasslands, bisected by riverine forests, attract countless game, enticing wildebeest, zebra and Thomson’s gazelle, which ensures that predators are never too far away and the sense of raw energy on the savannah is palpable. The camp offers a ‘no-set-schedule rule’ to ensure that you can spend your time here exactly how you wish; whether that involves game drives on the Mara plains below, nature walks accompanied by your knowledgeable guide or spending ample time within the serenity of the camp or your private suite ensuring a truly relaxing stay. Depart Kenya

It is now time to depart Angama Mara and say goodbye to this stunning safari destination. Take in the vast views one last time before transferring to the Angama Mara airstrip for your flight home via Nairobi.
