New Lion CUBS For The Marsh Pride

Governors’ Camp is a firm favourite of ours, featuring luxury tents on the banks of the Mara River in Kenya that are perfectly located for game and bird viewing. We were pleased to hear their most recent wildlife news including some new arrivals.

There are new cubs for the Marsh Pride of lions. Breakaway lioness Madomo has 4 new tiny cubs which we think are under 3 weeks old. She has hidden them near the Bila Shaka riverbed and we got our first glimpse of them a few days ago.

South of where Madomo was with her cubs the entire Marsh pride had killed a buffalo and were eating it. Bibi looked well fed and likewise all three cubs of Siena. Tatu and Yaya were resting on the bank while Red was drinking water in the Bila Shaka. Then this morning we came across Morani, Sikio and Hunter relaxing in the woodland close to the Musiara Marsh, no sign of Scar, no doubt off galavanting somewhere!

Meanwhile back in camp this morning staff and visitors got a visit from an old friend as Blossom the elephant strolled in to camp right past Governors Camp reception.

Never a dull day at Governors' Camp!
