The Animal Ball

We were proud and excited to be partnering with Elephant Family to throw the conservation event of the year, The Animal Ball, held last night in central London's Victoria House. Natural World Safaris was one of the headline sponsors of the event donating over 15 safaris to raise money and awareness for a number of endangered species. We worked with some of our favourite lodges, camps and on-the-ground partners to offer unforgettable experiences from the Quest for the Snow Leopard in the Indian Himalayas to our Antarctica photography safari as part of The Animal Ball silent auction.

The stars dazzled in extravagant headdresses and designer masks at last night’s The Animal Ball. Flocks of tropical birds and streaks of bejewelled Bengal tigers dined across London before partying in an elaborately decorated Victoria House. The jungle was thriving with celebrities, philanthropists and royalty alike as they danced the night away and placed their bids through a silent auction for a range of worldwide safaris and stunning artwork to raise money for wildlife charities Space for Giants, The Aspinall Foundation, Lion Guardians and Elephant Family. These charities support vital conservation efforts for some of the world’s most endangered species from Asian and African elephants to mountain gorillas and blue whales.

"A fantastic event to be involved with in raising funds and awareness for some frontline conservation projects" - Will Bolsover

Natural World Safaris MD, Will Bolsover, adorned with his Burberry designed tawny owl mask, joined three Natural World Safaris polar bears (myself included) to mingle with guests and provide information about the safaris offered. Guests also purchased their all-important polar bear lottery tickets for the chance to win the trip-of-a-lifetime to Svalbard with Natural World Safaris. Travelling aboard a small ship, guests will explore the high Arctic in search of walrus, sea birds, seals, and of course, the mighty King of the Arctic.

Celebrities commanded attention in their designer headgear, from Ellie Goulding’s patchwork elephant to Anna Friel’s exquisite white peacock headdress, while performers roved the crowds dressed as zebras, lions and baboons.

We are very proud to have partnered with Elephant Family on this unforgettable event and were delighted to hear we helped raise £1.7 million for these fantastic charities.
