Ulagalla

about ulagalla, thirappane

A historic property that has played home to many a leader throughout the years, Ulagalla is now a, lovingly restored, charismatic resort. Each of the 28 private chalets, scattered throughout the 58 acres of fine Sri Lankan land, has a private plunge pool, making it perfect for honeymoons, or family holidays.

Set on the border of two ancient reservoirs, this is both an eco-resort and a solar farm (the largest in the country).

50% of Ulagalla's energy generated through solar power and not even one tree was removed in its creation.
