Idyllically set upon the banks of the Kinabatangan River.
Accommodation & Facilities
There are 12 rooms available at Borneo Nature Lodge each with their own private bathroom and furnished with authentic, hand-made artefacts. Each of the chalets were built with the environment of highest consideration ensuring that the disturbance to the trees and flora was as small as possible. The majority of the chalet buildings are built out of wood and the roof is made from corrugated metal sheets.
The lodge features an on-site restaurant which can seat up to thirty guests inside; you will also have the choice (weather permitting) to dine al fresco, space for twenty diners, with stunning vistas across the Kinabatangan River. The restaurant follows the lodge’s emphasis upon sustainability, by using large glass windows throughout this reduces the energy uses as the reliance is placed upon natural lighting.
During your stay at Borneo Nature Lodge you can embark upon a number of river cruises to explore the local area; these can take place throughout the day to ensure that you will experience the different range of wildlife which venture into the rainforest during different times of the day. You will also be able to embark upon a number of jungle treks as well as accompanied night walks or visit a local village.
Children are welcome at Borneo Nature Lodge.
