With just four vintage-style tents, you’re assured of an intimate experience at Hwange’s Vintage Safari Camp. Sit around the fire pit for cosy evening nightcaps, and take in the panoramic views of passing wildlife from the lookout deck.
Hwange National Park is an unfenced park boasting the highest concentration of wildlife species of any region in Africa. Nestled under a magnificent grove of teak forest, the camp commands stunning views across the water pan in front. The lookout deck is a great vantage point to spot lion, elephant, kudu, sable, painted dog and many more wildlife species.
Accommodation & Facilities
Each one of the spacious and private tents comes complete with en-suite facilities and a bush shower (hot and cold) for the true vintage camp style.
The dining tent is al fresco, opening out to the wilderness all around. All meals are freshly prepared in the secluded camp and are served daily, offering evening dining under the stars and a picnic brunch or lunch out in the bush.
From camp, take a bush walk safari with a professional guide, where you can discover flora and fauna and come to understand the pulse of the natural world. Horseback safaris can allow a closer encounter with wildlife that may be less afraid of horses than humans on foot. Open game-viewing vehicles offer a personal experience with the rich and varied wildlife species in the area, while a visit to the Painted Dog Centre is a great place to learn all about this beautiful endangered species.
