Accommodation & Facilities
There are 8 en-suite meru style tents, 1 of which is a family tent. All of them have a wooden deck for a fantastic view of the river. Tents are spacious with high ceilings and three sides have netted windows, all aiding the air flow. Tents are simply decorated using earthy tones and are separated from the bathroom via a woven screen that doubles up as a closet. Bathrooms have large wash basins and very large open plan showers.
The Lounge and dining area in made from canvas and is open sided to emphasise the views over the river and surrounding land. There is also a campfire, plunge pool and sun loungers, all ideal for sharing stories, relaxing or sipping a sundowner.
Food here is traditional, delicious and there is plenty of it!
Night drives here are very exciting; guides are excellent and really good at leopard spotting. There are also boat trips available, the rivers are home to lots of crocodiles and hippos and you are sure to see some wildlife using the sandy beaches as a drinking spot. Guided nature walks are also possible.
Children welcome although the camp is not recommended for children under 8 years. The camp is unfenced and therefore potentially dangerous, children must be supervised at all times.
