An intimate and luxurious private camp with a relaxed atmosphere.
Kiba Point is situated within the Selous Game Reserve just a short flight from Dar es Salaam.
Accommodation & Facilities
Kiba Point can cater for up to eight guests within four stunning stone and thatch cottages all of which are spacious and situated on the riverbed. They all have en-suite facilities which include both indoor and outdoor showers with both hot and cold running water. Relax after an exciting day of exploring with a sundowner on your own private veranda or take a dip in your private plunge pool whilst witnessing the breath taking scenery.
There is also a central mess tent which is perfect for spending some time together as a group, relax upon one of the sofas, planters chairs or on one of the many sun beds. In addition to the private plunge pools there is also a large communal swimming pool in the centre of the camp. Within the mess tent there is your own personal bar, a library and a dining area.
All meals are included at Kiba Point; you will have your own chef and can discuss the menu and meal times each day. Due to the exclusivity of the camp you are able to design your day’s schedule as the staff are completely flexible in catering to your needs. The delectable dishes served at Kiba Point are made using as many locally sourced products as possible from meats, fruits and vegetables. Dinner consists of a three course dinner and can be served in a number of locations throughout the camp. The menu is a blend of traditional and international dishes such as coconut creme brulee.
All of the activities at Kiba Point are entirely exclusive, your group will have your own private safari vehicle and guide. Each day of your stay you will make all of the decisions concerning the daily itinerary- meaning you can do as much or as little as you wish. You can embark upon morning and evening game drives, guided walks, fly-camping, boating and fishing.
Children over the age of eight are welcome at Kiba Point, however the camp states that it would not be suitable for young children as the cottages have open fronts and are situated on the banks of the Rufiji River. Children should not be left unaccompanied at any time as the camp is not fenced allowing wildlife to wander through.
