About Chaka Camp, Ndutu
This is a mobile camp, moving between Ndutu in the Ngorongoro area, and the northern Serengeti to follow the great migration. From December to March, Chaka Camp is in Ndutu, where the migration comes in and out, bringing with it a fascinating array of big cats and other predators and scavengers.
Then from late May to October, it is close to the Mara River, in an excellent spot to see numerous river crossings as the migration travels between Tanzania and Kenya. River crossings are a dramatic time to see the migration, and you will often see crocodiles and hippos. For some all-round excellent game viewing in the Serengeti, we recommend combining Chaka Camp with its sister camp, Kiota, located in the Central Serengeti.
