Accommodation & Facilities
The Sibuya Camp boasts three accommodation options, each with its own unique unforgettable ambience: River Camp, Forest Camp and Bush Lodge. River Camp is a beautiful riverside camp ideally suited to guests with families and children. Four luxury tents make up River Camp, each with their own cosy fireplace and en-suite facilities. The enormous tents have sleeper couches that convert into two single beds for younger guests. Forest Camp is located slightly further back from the riverfront and has a total of eight luxury tents, suited more to older guests over the age of 12. These tents also have sleeper couches for older children sharing. For those after a bit more luxury, the Bush Lodge is a classic thatched lodge built with all the luxury and modern amenities to match. The lodge benefits from being on the electrical grid, so is ideal for those guests looking for more home comforts than those offered by the camps. The lodge consists of four secluded suites all with wood-burning fireplaces and private viewing decks.
For the guests in the camps delicious buffet-style meals with an African twist are accompanied by award winning South African wine, served in the boma or under the star-studded sky. For those having a three-day stay, picnics may also be arranged out on the Reserve or at the pristine Blue Flag beach at the nearby village of Kenton-on-Sea. For those guests in the Bush Lodge buffet-style meals are provided however if notified before arrival, every effort will be made to cater for dietary requirements.
The location of this camp makes it ideal for those wanting to experience everything that South Africa has to offer when it comes to wildlife. Jump on one of the purpose-built game drive trucks and witness wildlife such as elephants, lions, antelope and rhino. Relax on a river cruise while taking in the local flora and fauna or grab yourself a canoe and paddle out on your own. There are also opportunities to go fishing, horse riding, or just relax on a long beach walk. Spa treatments are also available for guests of the camps.
Children are welcome at the camp but only children over 12 years old are welcome at Forest Camp and Bush Lodge.
