Accommodation & Facilities

The hotel features just eight individually designed suites, each (excluding the Forest Suite) with their own private garden and plunge pool. The suites are elegantly decorated with artworks from a private collection of famous South African artists, Persian rugs and comfortable furnishings, and have spacious en-suite bathrooms. The Diamond Villa also features a separate lounge leading onto a private deck, boasting stunning views over the ocean.

The hotel also has a wellness spa offering a variety of massages, reflexology, aromatherapy, steam showers and skin care treatments, often using herbs grown in the lodge’s own herb garden. As part of the lodge’s commitment to helping the local community, many of the beauty therapists in the wellness spa are from African Angels, an initiative which aims to provide employment to women from challenging backgrounds.

Prana Lodge offers a fine dining experience in its spacious dining room, specialising in locally sourced ingredients and freshly caught seafood.

The lodge is ideally situated next to a secluded beach, perfect for relaxing or surfing, and there are a number of nature walks and birdwatching tours in the surrounding area. Inkwenkwezi Private Game Reserve is a short drive away, and guests can enjoy guided tours to see the reserves wildlife, including rhino, elephant and giraffe. Cultural tours to visit the city of Mthatha and Qunu Village, where Nelson Mandela grew up, can also be arranged at the lodge.
