A simple, well managed and beautiful camp used on fly-in safaris.
After landing on the remote airstrip in the north of Kaokoland, you will drive for a while in a 4x4 through the stunning scenery of the Hartmann Valley until you reach the Kunene River. The camp is perched on enormous boulders above the river.
Accommodation & Facilities
Dome tents are surrounded by and covered with reed. Inside you will find twin beds, a bedside table, battery powered lamp, bottled water and tissues. There is a chemical toilet placed at the bottom of one of the beds so you don’t have to leave the tent to use the bathroom if you don’t want to. There is also an en-suite bucket shower with hot water provided when you need it. Shampoo, shower gel, insect repellent and towels are also provided.
In the wood, stone and reed main building you will find a mess area with seating, a bush bar and a veranda. The main camp has two flush toilets with hand basins. The service is friendly, relaxed and attentive.
Cuisine is delicious and all provided for you.
These are wild and adventurous, including bird watching, guided walks and drives, photographic excursions and meeting the Himba people. You will usually stay at this camp just one night.
