About Dolomite Camp

Dolomite Camp was the first camp to be built on the western side of Etosha National Park, which has opened up an area previously inaccessible to tourists. This exciting and luxurious camp is set amongst dolomite formations, making it one of Namibia’s most scenic locations.

The Galton Gate is open only to those staying at Dolomite Camp, making for an extremely exclusive experience in this stunning land, dotted with waterholes.

lodge details

A luxurious and exclusive camp with sweeping views and a personal service.

The only camp on the western side of Etosha National Park, near the Galton Gate. The western side of the park measures about a third of the entire park area and there are 15 waterholes in the vicinity.

Accommodation & Facilities

There are 20 elevated chalets, each with a thatched roof and commanding privacy and views of the surrounding dramatic landscapes. All of the chalets are nestled amongst dolomite rocky outcrops and are tastefully furnished, and have tea/coffee making facilities and comfortable beds.  Two of the chalets are that little bit more luxurious with private plunge pools and stunning east-facing sunset views.

The main camp area includes a reception area, lounge, boma and two restaurant areas. There is also a swimming pool and secure parking for those on a self drive.

There is a restaurant in the main area and the cuisine is wonderful.

Explore the fascinating western side of Etosha National Park on game drives through the camp or your own vehicle. Large herds of zebra, giraffe and antelope are known to wander around the camp.

Child Policy

We do not recommend this camp for children. It is unfenced and visitors cannot walk around after dark without an escort.
