about camp nomade, zakouma national park

camp nomade details

An intimate nomadic style camp that moves with the seasons.

Camp Nomade is based in Zakouma National Park, Chad, and the camp’s location moves during the different seasons to ensure guests are always in the best wildlife-viewing area.

Accommodation & Facilities

There are 8 tents in the camp, with a maximum of 8 guests at one time. Double rooms can be arranged, but there will never be more than 8 guests, allowing for an intimate and individual experience.

Each tent has a camp bed with a mattress, duvet and pillows, as well as a chest to keep your belongings in. Every tent has its own bathroom sat around 5m behind the tents - each consists of an outdoor bucket shower, a makeshift towel rail and a toilet, all of which are surrounded by a wall of woven palm leaves to ensure guests’ privacy.

The comfortable lounging area is bright and vibrant, with large cushions on the floor to relax on whilst gazing out at the vast plains of Zakouma National Park.

The whole camp group dines together in a communal affair in the lounge area of the camp or under the breath-taking starry sky. This is why the groups are kept small so that the group is intimate and everyone is familiar with those they are staying with!

The activities available are based in Zakouma National Park, including walking safaris, game drives and fly camping. As well as this, there is also a tour of ‘behind the scenes’ of the park headquarters where guests can learn of the conservation efforts of the game rangers.
