Honeymoon Safaris
Natural World Safaris, through its dedicated brands of World Primate Safaris, World Big Cat Safaris and World Bear Safaris, specialises in handcrafted honeymoon safaris to a variety of destinations around the globe. We understand that your honeym
oon is one of the most important holidays that you are likely to book and that attention to detail is essential.
In order to assist you in the honeymoon booking process we have outlined some key factors that you may wish to bear in mind when starting to plan your honeymoon. Please note that we offer a variety of honeymoon destinations throughout our entire product portfolio and we would be happy to chat through the various options with you in order to ensure you chose the destination best suited to yourselves.
Introduction: Firstly, one thing you must bear in mind, is that this process is meant to be fun! Your honeymoon is the trip of a lifetime and therefore do try and take pleasure in planning it; yes, it can be stressful but that is why we are here…to take the stress out of it for you. Ask as many questions as you like, request amended itineraries, call us as we are only at the end of the phone and a quick chat can often save you hours of research on the internet when you have other things to do…such as plan your wedding! Throughout the destinations that we offer there are a wide selection of unique camps and lodges that are both intimate and put you in the best place to maximise your travel experience. Certain lodges and camps are more geared towards honeymoon couples than others and we would be happy to advise on what we feel would suit you best.
The Planning Process: There are numerous factors to take into consideration when planning your honeymoon safari however there are a few essential factors to consider. In order to simplify the planning process we have outlined a few of these considerations below:
When are you getting married? The date of your wedding hugely affects where you are able to travel to on your honeymoon. We cover a variety of global destinations, however there are always best times to visit each one, or maybe even times when you can benefit from preferential rates as you are travelling in a “shoulder” season. Costs do add up so this is definitely something to bear in mind. A number of people when picturing the perfect honeymoon think of white sand beaches and sunshine…please bear in mind that you even in the Maldives if you go at the wrong time of the year it can rain for days non-stop!
What do you want from your honeymoon? The idea of a honeymoon can be hugely different for both of you. Please make sure you sit down and chat through what you both want from your honeymoon. As we tailor-make 95% of our safaris we are confident that we can include something for everyone, however if you can point us in the right direction to start with then this will be a huge help. Do you want some beach time? How many days do you want on safari? Bear in mind that safaris are tiring so it is essential to maybe build in some time to wind down after your wedding and before you start your safari…we often build in a couple of days at the start of your honeymoon just for you to relax and take a breath after the stress (and fun!) of the last few months of planning.
What Accommodation Do You Have in Mind? Accommodation plays a huge part in your honeymoon safari. From tented camps offering that ultimate bush feel (but still luxury if required) to intimate lodges and beach retreats, they all offer something completely different.
Destinations and Prices: Your honeymoon safari aside from revolving around the time of year you are getting married also, unfortunately, revolves around how much you want (or don’t want!) to spend. At the start of the planning process if you can give us an idea of the per person cost that you are looking at spending on your honeymoon safari then we will do our best to keep to this or even better it. On occasions there are deals to be had (especially when on honeymoon) and we will always do our utmost to secure these for you. Usually our prices do exclude internatioanl flights as these are something that can be booked by ourselves or yourselves directly with the airline. Please find some ideas and
guide prices listed below to set you on your way…
