Leylandsdrift Camp, Skeleton Coast

Located on the confluence of seasonal river valleys, Leylandsdrift Camp has outstanding views over the Hoarusib Valley. This camp replaces Purros Camp on the fly in safari itineraries, as the owners thought the location was getting too busy.

Being a new camp, it offers a newer style of accommodation to the fly-in itineraries, with large, en-suite and very comfortable tents.

  • Tented accommodation
  • Children welcome
  • Great for your skeleton coast fly-in safari

Rustic and comfortable camping

On the confluence of two seasonal rivers, this camp is fly-in only.

Accommodation & Facilities

The tents are large and comfortable, with en-suite bucket showers and flush toilets. Equipment such as bedding, lamps, torches, towels, soaps and mirrors are provided and most people will welcome the opportunity to relax here in comfort and wash in the privacy of their own tent.

The main area has a mess tent overlooking the river valley and the service is excellent.

Cuisine here is excellent and all included in your stay.

The emphasis here is on adventure and you can enjoy guided walks and drives, as well as desert-elephant tracking and cultural visits.

Child Policy

Children welcome if they will enjoy the fly-in.
